We have a forced air unit only, no A/C. Replacing existing wifi thermostat with a 3rd gen Nest thermostat. Existing wiring consists of R & Rc which provide 24vac from a transformer. The other 2 wires are W & Rh. Rc and Rh were jumpered on original thermostat. Installation procedures says this wiring is incompatible with my Nest thermostat. I find this hard to believe! Anyone know of a workaround?

Nest Thermostats don't use jumper wires. Don't enter the jumper wire between Rc and Rh and it should let you proceed without issue.
