Nest thermostat issue

Swar
Community Member

I have a problem with a forced air furnace controlled by a nest thermostat.

For heating, the gas burner ignition sequence takes several tries to finally ignite.

The furnace is new, nest wired properly and the furnace operated correctly with a regular thermostat.

Hey Swar,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear about what's happening.

Since you're using a new furnace and your wires are properly connected to your Nest Thermostat, we'll need to check your equipment settings. The right type of heating should be selected for your system. Go to settings > equipment > and then select the right fuel source and heat type.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Regards,

Ryan

My thermostat does not give me the option to select gas as a heat source.
