I've had my Nest Learning Thermostat for three years with no problems at all. It is on a wired in base.
Two days ago it showed an H71 error saying it could not connect to the Heatlink and to move closer to the heatlink.
I tried to reconnect to the heatlink, but the thermostat was then showing low battery. (The first time it has ever done this)
I tried charging via USB for several hours but when I put it back on the base, the unit says it is shutting down as it it needs to recharge, but then will not switch on again.
If I plug it into a USB the screen comes on and it tells me to connect to the base, but as soon as I do, it shuts down again.
Has anyone else had this? Nest support say the only solution they can offer is for me to buy a new thermostat display which I am furious about.
