Nest thermostat keeps saying Please remove the thermostat from base then reattach

Hi Scottinyc,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about it: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. Does your thermostat keep giving that message even if the display is not attached to its base? Make sure that all the wires are flat and they're not pushing the display away from its base. Also, try to press and hold the back of your thermostat display until it restarts.
