It says when you pull up History: "Come back tomorrow to see what your thermostat has been up to"
It has been showing this same message for several days now.
ALL other functions are working and showing OK.
07-22-2025 08:03 PM
I no longer get history for my Nest thermostat. Instead of the history I get a message, "Come back tomorrow to see what your Nest thermostat is up to".
07-23-2025 01:29 AM
I’ve just noticed mine is doing this too
07-23-2025 12:27 PM
Same here. No history.
07-24-2025 08:41 AM
Same here. Number of users; it seems to have impacted the monthly report too. Hoping it updates in the next couple days.
07-24-2025 01:58 PM
Reported it to Google. After playing 20 questions, they admitted there is a known issue that’s “being worked on as a high priority”……
07-24-2025 05:15 PM
Thanks @philguk. I chuckle at the "high priority" as it's been broken for 8 days. It's likely to be broken more than the 10 days of history they load in the app.
Ecobee is looking more appealing by the month.

I have two thermostats in two different houses and both of them have stopped showing the usage history with an error message to check back tomorrow. Been saying that for several days. The history shows in the thermostats themselves but not in the app. I have tried reinstalling the app but that makes no difference. Any ideas how to resolve this?
07-24-2025 08:39 AM
Been broken for a number of days - hoping it's fixed soon.
07-24-2025 09:14 AM
Oh, not just me then?

Like you my history shows on the device but not on the app or my desktop. Clearly this is an issue at Nests end, we can’t all have the same issue locally.

Getting this message
Energy History
Welcome to Energy History.
Come back tomorrow to see what your thermostat has been up to.
It has been days now. I have as directed uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing. Really annoying as I have this in a holiday rental property. Anyone got a fix?
07-25-2025 03:56 AM
I've had the same thing for a few days now. Done the same as you, but still showing the "come back tomorrow" message. C'mon google, sort it out please
07-25-2025 05:19 AM
Thanks. Really poor service. This feature is very important when you rent a property. Hopefully someone will come back to us 🤞
07-25-2025 05:25 AM
Don't hold your breath!
07-25-2025 05:44 AM
Tried that and suffocated 🤣
07-25-2025 07:56 AM
I have also suddenly had this issue with Energy History missing. Been saying "Come back tomorrow" for nearly two weeks. I have a Gen2 thermostat which they are phasing out. Could this be the issue? This is a very important feature for my property in a desert climate that I remotely control. Samsung Galaxy S 25 Ultra. Uninstalled and reinstalled app.
07-25-2025 08:04 AM
Thanks. We really need someone from Google to support this but so far nothing! I have a gen 3 so should be ok and use a Samsung S24 FE. Maybe the issue is android?
07-28-2025 11:08 PM
Not showing on the App on both iPhone and iPad.
07-28-2025 10:53 AM
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out in the community! I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to access your Energy History in the Google Home app for the past few days, and that you're seeing the message, 'Come back tomorrow to see what your thermostat has been up to.' I understand how inconvenient and confusing this can be, especially when all other functions are working correctly. I'd be happy to help with this!
To help me investigate, could you please confirm if you've performed a factory reset or experienced a power outage recently?
I look forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Have not had any power outages, and have not done any factory resets on either of my two thermostats.
One day history was working on app and on browser on computer, then then the next day it did not show any history, only the message to come back another day.
I reached out to Google, and was informed it was a problem on their end and they were working one it. That was over a week ago, and it still is not fixed! Will never buy anything from Google/Nest again!!!
07-29-2025 05:59 AM
Thanks Jennifer. Like the other users as part of this trail I have not conducted a factory reset and there has been no power outage. Look forward to hearing from you. Derek

Jenniffer what is Nest doing to rectify this? Is this a Gen2 issue? My energy history has been missing for two weeks on a remote property in the desert and I have no idea what the usage has been. How long does it take to fix a "known bug"? What is happening to Google? All of their products like assistants are going down the tubes. We expect answers and updates. Thank you.

I am having the same issue with my Nest app. Thermostat works fine but I like to check the history to know how to adjust usage.

I have just noticed this issue in the UK. History is shown in the stats But not on the app/ web site. I have done all the usual things to try to correct it to no avail. I assume it rests with Nest themselves . When are we going to get a resolution? Or do we have to go elsewhere for heat controllers. An answer would be nice NEST!

About two weeks ago my Nest App stopped showing my Nest Gen2 Thermostat energy history. Been saying "Come back tomorrow" for nearly two weeks. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Android app, cleared cache, etc.** This is a very important feature for my property in a desert climate that I remotely control. Samsung Galaxy S 25 Ultra. In addition, I cannot log in on the web browser at all. Bizarre stuff.
** I also tested on my iPad and the energy history is also missing there.

I’m having same issue. I have logged in/out and reset thermostat with no success. Using nest app.
07-27-2025 09:02 AM
Which Nest gen do you have? I'm on 2 which is being phased out. Wonder if that is part of the problem.

I’m Gen 2 as well, but an iPhone user
07-27-2025 09:04 AM
Hmmmm
07-27-2025 08:59 AM
Same for mine. I deleted app, restarted phone, reinstalled and nothing
07-27-2025 09:25 AM
2nd gen here too. I also have a 3rd gen and its history works. I sure hope this isn’t a ploy to force us to buy new hardware when the current hardware still does its job.
07-27-2025 09:35 AM
I think it is ploy. We lose all Gen2 Nest remote functionality on October 25th and I think they are trying to speed up the process of making us buy new ones. This really stinks. They are purposefully making a working product obsolete. Yes the thermostat will still work, but none of the smart remote capabilities. Well that's the whole purpose of buying a smart thermostat. And I suspect this is why no official Google response on this post or other similar posts I have seen. Maybe it's time for an Ecobee.
07-27-2025 09:35 AM
Check your email for July 9 from Google home. First and second gen Are obsolete starting October 25, 2025. At that point, it will no longer be supported in the app, no software updates, Meaning, no bug Fixes. You can still manage it directly. Thanks a lot. Capitalism at its finest!
07-29-2025 11:38 AM
😡They are a bunch of crooks!
07-29-2025 11:39 AM
How long then Gen 4 stats will be made redundant by using the same policy? Not a very good advert Google is it?
07-26-2025 10:27 AM
I see I'm not alone in having my energy history report replaced by "Welcome to Energy History - come back tomorrow" about 10 days ago. But I don't plan to reset everything - it seems others have tried this to no effect. I have heard that it's something to do with Google only slowly getting round to installing an update in the UK (USA has priority?) and/or correcting a faulty update. Has anyone else heard this? It doesn't matter much to me during the summer since the heating's not on anyway, but come the Autumn (Fall!) it'll be very annoying if it's not fixed by then
07-26-2025 11:37 AM
I have not heard that.
I have 3 Nest 2nd Generation thermostats that I'm also have that same issue..... "come back tomorrow" on all 3, for over a month now. Not sure why all of a sudden after using these thermostats remotely for almost 10 years with no problems at all, and always seeing the previous days usage, why this is happening. I log into the thermostats only using the NEST app on my phone and or a computer and now I'm seeing this problem. I have not migrated to the Google Account or app yet, but would like to see this resolved before I do any upgrades to 4th Generation thermostats, which is what Google says I have to do, because my 2nd Generation thermostats will not be supported with remote login after September 25th 2025. I mean..... What's Up Google? What problems are you causing here?
Why don't you just upgrade the NEST app to accommodate your older thermostats, instead of forcing clients to buy new thermostats and then have them migrate to a Google Account?
07-29-2025 02:50 PM
All of this is absurd. And don't even get me started on the Google Home devices that are no longer getting commands right, turning on or off lights. I'm not sure what is happening with Google but this is not good.

Even more important to ourselves is the fact we go away in the winter to sunnier climes and rely on being able to operate our heating remotely. As I understand it Google are withdrawing support for Gen 2&3 stats. We have 2. Thereby we will not be able to do this. Only direct control will be possible. If this is true Google thanks a bunch this means if that is true then we will have to purchase 2 new stats! How about some financial contribution to existing members Mr G? You know who we are. The alternative is to move away to another device.
