Hi 8361,

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community. Let's check this out. Please answer the following:

  1. Are you from North America or Europe?
  2. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  3. Are you getting any kind of error code?
  4. Have you tried charging the Nest Thermostat via Micro USB cable?

You can use the USB port on the back of your Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E to charge it up when the battery is low.

  1. Pull off the thermostat display.
  2. Plug it into a USB port on your computer or a wall charger like the one you use to charge your phone.
  3. A blinking light on the front of your thermostat confirms that it’s charging. The color of the light will depend on the battery level of the thermostat when you charge it. Usually, your thermostat will take about half an hour to recharge. But if the battery is fully drained, it can take as long as 2 hours to recharge.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Renz

My thermostat won’t charge. I’ve tried several times and today left it plugging in all day but it won’t charge. Why?  And what do I do now?

Hi Punkavg,

Thanks for letting us know about your concern. I appreciate you being a step ahead of us. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Were you able to try using a different cable or charger? Do you see any blinking light on your thermostat's display?

Regards,

Jenelyn
