My Thermostat on the app went "offline" however upon checking the thermostat it says its online and connected to wifi, but the app says offline.
I have tried re- booting the router more than 10 times now, re-setting the network settings on the thermostat, removing the thermostat from my google account and nothing.
within the thermostat settings it says App none ( or something like that) and then theres an option to get an entry key.
This results n a message stating "there was a problem connecting to the service, please try again later"
re booted router, re set the nest network settings - again after Get entry key, "there was a problem connecting to the service, please try again later" "
so factory re-set the nest thermostat got as far as Get entry key, followed by... ""there was a problem connecting to the service, please try again later"
RE booted router and re-set everything again ""there was a problem connecting to the service, please try again later"
Another full factory reset, this time to rule out any issues with my wifi created a hotspot using my mobile phone data and connected to that
Get entry key, followed by...
""there was a problem connecting to the service, please try again later"
I get the feeling i should have got a Hive system

Hello Richard_T,
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues reconnecting your thermostat in the app. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
If you haven't completed the setup, please try configuring your thermostat first without adding it to the Nest App or Internet Connection; skip these options to move forward until you get finished. Once done, please follow the remaining steps here:
Please let me know if that helps or if the issue still persists.
Regards,
Mark
