Nest thermostat wifi connection

NellyAchkhen
Community Member

Last night, we had an internet outage in our area. The thermostat was disconnected from the wifi. The internet service is back and all my devices are working except for the nest thermostat is not able to reconnect to the wifi. I reset everything and the modem/router and called spectrum to reboot my connection.
I am running out of ideas!

Did you reboot the Nest thermostat?

Yes I have! Multiple times! How do I know if the battery needs to be replaced?

When you check the equipment/technical status, what does the Nest or Nest App report as its battery voltage level?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. Please check your Nest Thermostat power readout by following the steps provided above. If your thermostat has below 3.7 V for its battery, you have to charge it using a micro USB cable for at least an hour.

I appreciate your help, @CoolingWizard.

Best,

Jenelyn
