Nest thermostat will not set up. On google home or nest

I can’t get this nest thermostat to set up. Thermostat display says continue in google home but google home will not pick up the thermostat to add it.

Sorry for the delay but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I want to check on this further. 

A few questions — what type of Nest thermostat is this? Is this a first time setup or was it working previously? Also, could you provide the screenshot of the message you're getting on your Google Home app when trying to go through the setup process there?
