I have 2 nest thermostats in 2 separate homes. I cannot get my second thermostat connected to the nest app or the google home app.

The Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E get installed in the Google Nest app and should then appear automatically in the Google Home app. The Nest Thermostat gets installed in the Google Home app. You have to be physically near the thermostat and on the same Wi-Fi network and Google Nest "home/structure" that the thermostat will use.

Hey there,
I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.
Thanks for the input, @MplsCustomer.
@Lstewart8309, how's it going with your other thermostat? Have you managed to see it in the Google Home app? If you haven't yet, please share with us screenshots on both apps showing the two home structures available with your thermostats in the Nest app. Also, are they both Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation or Nest Thermostat E?
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Regards,
Mark

The second Thermostat is not a learning thermostat. I figured out that I had to share it with my husband in order for it to show up on his Google home. It did not make sense to me because he has his own Google home account. Also, it was not user friendly with figuring that out. I wish there was a contact phone number when I was setting this up 7 days ago. When your trying to set something up. You need to speak with someone on the phone and not wait for a response 7 days later. Also, we have 2 nest thermostats and on the nest app, we can only control one home from the nest app. The 2nd home shows up but we cannot change any settings from the nest app. We can only change the settings from the Google home app for the 2nd thermostat. Do you have an answer this?

Hey there,
I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you in setting up your Nest Thermostats. It appears that your other thermostat is the Nest Thermostat 2020 (Mirrored face version) — which you can only manage or control via the Google Home app. But for the Nest Learning Thermostat, you can still use the same app to control it, and most of its settings can be configured in the Nest app.
And I understand that the apps can be confusing, and we'll take this as feedback. Also, for your future reference, you can still reach out to our team in real-time for help and support by filling out this form.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Best regards,
Mark
