Nest thermostat

Our thermostat is connected to our cell phones. We have removed our old app and added the app again to get the most recent version. And for some reason it’s only showing our account it does not show the temperature dials. So we see that it is connected to our Wi-Fi but not showing the data. We cannot figure out what’s wrong. so we cannot operate our thermostat from our cell phone app

Thanks for posting here in the community! I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties accessing or controlling your Nest thermostat from the app after reinstalling it. I understand how concerning this is since you see the Nest thermostat connected to the Wi-Fi network, but it isn't showing the data on the app. I'd be happy to help with this!

Based on the information you provided, it seems that once you enter the account, you cannot see the thermostat there. To better assist you, I'd like to ask and confirm the following information:

  • What is the model of your Nest thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
  • Are you using the Google Home app or the Nest app?
  • Are you using the same account that you used before to set up the thermostat?
  • How many mobile devices are controlling the thermostat, and are any of them showing the device?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

In the meantime, I'd suggest the following:

  • Ensure that the thermostat is not in another home structure.
