Can you take it off the wall and plug it into a usb power source to charge it for a bit, then plug it back onto the wall mount and monitor the power level, I suspect it's not getting a high enough charge.  Do you have a C wire in your setup?  If not that may solve the issue (again assuming it's a power issue)

Hi folks,

I appreciate your help, Ashepherdson.

Checking in to see if the troubleshooting steps shared helped. If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to let me know.

we already did as you suggested but it didn’t help the nest stay on. We turned off the breaker for electricity to the nest-then turned it back on few minutes later. This helped. We have no idea why our Nest thermostat would not stay on but it’s working so far!

Hey Lifelearner56,

We're glad to hear that it is now working after turning off the breaker then turning it back on. It could be a hiccup on the system that just needs restarting like any electrical device sometimes.

We want to leave this thread open for the next few days for us to observe and make sure that the issue will not recur. Keep us posted once something comes up.

Best,

Melba
