Nest thermostat

Stat was installed back in December of last year worked fine started getting message couldn't connect to wifi  checked battery charge down to 2.8 volts pulled stat charged using mico usb now shows 3.9 volts still won't connect to wifi and screen is blank can hold down and reset comes up but won't connect then goes black again everything wifi is working in house did resets no luck

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat is unable to connect to WiFi. I'd be happy to help!

 

I appreciate the efforts made. To better assist you, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • Is this a new installation?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have?
  • Did you get any error messages?

Additionally, if you could share a picture of the wiring installation you have in the Nest thermostat, that would be helpful. I'd also appreciate seeing the current battery readings, VOC, and VIN, which can be found by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.

Can you hear a clicking noise in the display, if you put your ear right against the display? You have to listen very carefully.
