Nest thermostats and Daikin Air Source Heat Pump

DRVVOHRA

Hi All

I had 3 Nest learning thermostats installed in my property in July/August 2017.  At the time we had a gas boiler.  Thermostats worked well. About 3 years ago we decided to change our gas boiler for Daikin Air Source heat pump retaining all the Nest thermostats.  The installation engineers confirmed that that Nest and Daikin systems were compatible.

It all worked well for a year,  Thereafter a recurring error message ''A6'' has started occurring shutting down the Daikin system.  This is then manually rectified by me - a quick job to get the system back on track.  A6 error relates to some interruption in water flow in the heating system.  Installers tell me that the causes can be far too many They have been working on it and have also consulted the Daikin company and made various visits to try to rectify the error but the problem persists.  It recurs once every 2-3 weeks.

If Daikin system is working well, as I am told, I wonder if the Nest Thermostat controlling the heating, has anything to do causing the interruption?!  Has anyone had this experience?  Could come kind soul give me a idea of how to take this forward please.

Vivek

Hi DRVVOHRA,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

I'd like to further check what's going on by getting a photo of your current wire configurations for one of your thermostats.

I'll be waiting for your reply here.

Best regards,

Ryan
