Nest thermostats keep going offline

I recently installed two Nest Thermostats for my dual-zone home. They worked without issue for a few days, but then went "offline" in the app. I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps I can find anywhere and they still continue to have this issue. I can get them back online by resetting the thermostats, but they go offline within a day or two. They work manually. There is power to the thermostats. The WiFi works great. And the battery level is "good". I have a Starlink router and one Starlink Mesh extender. Please help or I will have to return these on a warranty claim and go with Ecobee or another competitor of Nest.

We are having the Exact same issue of our Nest  losing connection to Wi-Fi as well.
All other Wi-Fi based components such as cameras etc work great.  I really dont want to switch products but will if we have to.
Looking forward to some suggestions. TY

Hi folks,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostats are keep going offline. Let me take a look at this for you. A few questions:

  1. What Nest products do they have?
    • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
    • What type of Nest Camera do you have?
    • What type of Nest Protect do you have?
  2. How many Nest devices are offline?
  3. Has the device ever been connected to their Wi-Fi network before?
  4. Does it show offline in the Nest or Google Home app or indicated on the Nest device?
  5. Are other non-Nest devices in the home offline?
  6. Can the device find or detect other networks?
  7. Has there been any recent change in the home Wi-Fi network?
  8. Is the Wi-Fi router or access point within a reasonable range (1 to 15 meters) of between three to fifty feet from the Nest devices?

Also , could you share the steps that you did in resolving the issue?

Keep us posted. We're happy to help.

Best,

Zoe
