Nest turning off at random

My nest randomly turns itself off. It doesn't give me any wiring codes when it turns back on, it just simply says "your wiring has changed." It's like it's not keeping power, but if I try to charge it with a USB, it doesn't charge. So I take it off the wall mount give it a couple of shakes and a poke or two, and then it says "connect Nest to the wall to use it" and I put it back on, go through the "wiring has changed" prompts, and it starts right back up and works again. Until it turns off again.

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let me take a look at this for you. 

 

A few questions: Did you use a micro-USB cable when you charged the Nest Thermostat display? If so, does it work with other devices? Did you charge the thermostat display on a working power outlet? Also, how did you know that the thermostat display was not charging? Did you see any light that blinks at the top of the display? If there is, what is the light's color? Lastly, for how long did you charge the thermostat display, and for how long does it last after charging it?

It is still doing it. I opened a ticket. No lights are on when it’s attached to the wall. When I take it off it will flash orange and sometimes green. When I try to charge it there are no lights.

It is still happening. I am not home during the day so chat hasn't been able to help me and I am beyond frustrated at this point and ready to install my crappy old thermostat and yeet this one into the sun.

Can you help me with your thermostat's wiring? A clear picture would be a big help so I could see how wires are being labeled. Also, gather the power readouts in the Technical Info settings.
