Nest wiring with multiples wires per terminal

Hi I currently have a heater (Williamson GWA-175-N-T) hooked up to a Honeywell thermostat (RTH221B1039) with yellow + green in W and red + black in R and a jumper between R and RC. See photo. How do I wire the Nest?

Hello sct,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

It's not ideal for the Nest Thermostats to have a two-wire cord twisted under one terminal. But it appears that your thermostat needed additional power with this setup. To know its compatibility, could you also send us a picture of your heater's wiring configuration from its control panel?

I'll look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mark
