Nest won’t connect to google home app

I’ve tried all suggestions & no problems with Wi-Fi. I paid $100 for hvac guy google set up to install & week later, best disconnects fm google home app, where hvac guy quickly sets for me & I was like- ok. He told me I can change in app. It’s hot summer now & I want to change setting but can’t b/c can’t connect to app & have tried ALL suggestions I’ve read here but please offer any b/c hopefully I may have missed some.
