Nest won’t let set temperature

When I go into the Nest app, it shows "HOME" and underneath it, "Add Product." My thermostat is already connected, so that's not the issue. If I click on "HOME" it gives me the option of changing to "AWAY." Under home, there's the outside temp. I do not see the indoor temp or any option to change it using the app. I've had this thermostat and app for about 4 or 5 years with no issues. Can someone please help?

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that your Nest thermostat isn't in the Nest app, it seems that it disappeared from the app and I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Are you using the correct email? 
    • If not, open the Nest app
    • Go to settings at the top right corner
    • Select account option, then your account will appear so you need to confirm it.
  • Did you remove the home structure before?
  • What kind of Nest thermostat do you have? 

In the meantime, please follow the steps below:

  • Confirm if you're under the correct home
    • Open the Nest app Nest app.
    • At the top left, tap Menu .
    • Tap the home you want to switch to.
