Just received a new nest learning thermostat, and it has been nothing but problems right off the start, 1st off it the thermostat won’t connect to the app on my iPhone, or my wife’s Samsung galaxy, 2nd won’t recognize the yellow cool wire and won’t run due to that reason, won’t connect to the wifi, and it constantly restarting itself every time you try to connect anything. I am not happy with this system and would like to hear if anyone has had these problems and found a way to fix them.

Thanks for reaching out. 'm sorry to hear that you'er having an issue with your Nest Learning Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • What is the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? You could see this by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.
