Pic of new nest I plan on installing and pic of present nest wiring which has provided get service and continues to do so. I assume the blue wire is the control wire? Color code the wires and place "blue wire" in C?

Hi lasalle,

Thanks for reaching out. I would suggest checking the control board of your HVAC system to make sure that your blue wire is a C wire.

Thanks,

Edward

Thanks for following up. I have a 2 stage Bryant furnace f/g96vtn. I was looking for a video that would explain where the control panel is located (bottom panel?) and steps to turn off the furnace, open the panel, check where the blue wire is connected and get it restarted easily. There is a switch in the utility closet to turn the power off to the furnace. Regards, John Lynch

Hi lasalle,

Thanks for the response. If you have a 2 stage heating, then it's possible that your blue wire is for the 2nd stage. Let us know once you've checked the control board of your HVAC so we can investigate further.

Thanks,

Edward
