New Thermostat with hot water turned off showing Bacteria Prevention icon

Hi, I have 2 Nest Gen 3 thermostats, set the first one up to control heating and hot water, set the second one up to control just heating.

The second one (just heating) constantly shows the amber Bacteria Prevention. Have followed advise in other posts but can't find a turn on/off Bacteria Prevention option.

Anyone know how I get rid of this icon?

Thanks Warren

As mentioned in the original post, I followed this advise and I don't get the option to turn Bacteria Prevention off??

I have just checked on 4 of my thermostats, and all have that setting.

Settings - Equipment - Continue - Bacteria Prevention - Disable

You say yours is a 3rd Gen, are you UK?

Yes I am in the UK and defintely 3rd generation. Have just checked and my other thermostat which controls the hot water does have the Bacteria Prevention option. Am guessing I need to enable hot water on the second thromostat to get the option, disable it and then turn hot water off again, will give it a whirl!

OK, did a reset, said yes to hot water, turned Bacteria Prevention off successfully, icon no longer displayed but the thermostat thinks it now controls hot water, need to find out how to get rid of the hot water icon!

Just to complete the story, couldn't find a way of getting rid of the hot water option so did another reset, said no to hot water (just like the first time) and this time no Bacteria Prevention icon is displaying (yet). So first installing with hot water to disable the Bacteria Prevention option and then reinstalling without hot water seems to do the trick!
