Hello, I sort of had same issue because my wiring on my old thermostat did not follow same color pattern.  I had a blue and black wire unspliced and not connected.  So, it threw my off.  Anyhow, I would try this:

(BEFORE SO, PLEASE TURN OFF BREAKERS TO ENTIRE SYSTEM)

Connect Green wire to G

Connect Red (RH) to R

Connect White to W1

Connect Blue to Y1

*Do not connect jumper wire on Nest thermostat, just set aside.

Hi folks,

@Amy14, thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let's sort this out.

Where are you located? From North America or Europe? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Based on the wiring configuration of the wires to the old thermostat, it is compatible with any of our Nest Thermostat and should be wired as follows:

  • Green wire to G
  • Red wire to R or RC/RH
  • White wire to W or W1
  • Blue wire to Y or Y1

You may disconnect the  jumper wire as that is not needed for Nest Thermostats. Also, here's a guide for the installation and setup of a Nest Thermostat

Let us know if you have any other questions. We're happy to help.

I appreciate your input, @mchavez7476

Best,

Zoe
