New owner of a nest 2.0 thermostat

Alanthermo2

I just moved into a house with an existing Nest Thermostat 2.0.  I was able to link it to the network, but how do I link it to the app?  I don't have the QR code & I don't see how else to do it?

Help!

Hey there Alanthermo2,

I'm just checking up on this thread, did you have any more questions or need any additional help?

Thank you for helping out on this thread, pinkalishi!

Best regards,
Jeran

Someone suggested I reset the thermostat & read in the QR code.  I don't have the QR code.  There isn't a help line for these products so I can actually speak to a person who can walk me through this?  If this is the way this product is supported then I'm going to remove it from my house.

Is there any documentation that can walk me through as a new home owner on an existing nest thermostat 2.0 how to set this thing up?  I'm nervous to do a factory reset.

Hi Alanthermo2,

Thanks for the response. If you don't have a QR code, you can select "Continue without scanning" and you would need to enter an entry code. You can click on this link for step by step instructions.

Thanks,

Edward
