New thermostat and the fan constantly cycle on and off every few seconds when no heat is required.

I just replaced a 10 year old nest with a new one.  The old one quit cycling the heat.  I just installed a new one and now the fan cycles on and off every 10 seconds or so.  When heat is called for the fan runs constantly as it should.  Once the heat is off, the fan continues to run for the cool down and then starts cycling evey 10 seconds.

Hi Wafun,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • What is the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? You can find this information by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

I resolved my issue by adding a wire.
