New thermostat , furnace wont fire up

So we bought the Nest and installed it.  Once installed it said we needed a C wire?  We researched and found you don’t “really” need one. We move on past that and the nest asks us a question about alternate heat sources, which confused us because we only have one but it doesn’t have an option to select just one, it only lets you pick “ I don’t know”.

we move past that and now my furnace just blows air.   Never attempts to lite the pilot.  It just blows air.  We are pretty sure it’s something we did but we went over everything and still the same results.

we ended up hooking up my old thermostat and everything works fine, but my original thermostat is on its last days so that’s why we went out and got this one..

I believe the best isn’t working because the way we answered those “fuel source” questions.  But I’m a dummy so …..
