No WiFi connection - Google won't stand behind its product :(

I've done all the troubleshooting problems including calling support.  Some quick online searching and I've found this is a common known issue with this device.  They told me my two year warranty is over and there is nothing that they will do except sell me a new one for $249!  I will not buy products from a company who is not willing to stand behind their products when a known issue exists....they're hiding behind their "warranty" language rather than taking care of their customers.  Very disappointed.  I can't in good conscience buy Google products if they are not willing to stand behind them when known issues exist.

I've had the exact same experience. It wouldn't connect, nor even see a network from the day I installed it. I thought that I did something wrong, and tried several times through the year, and it would never see a network. When I contacted Nest, they said that it was out of warranty, and they would not do anything.

I've read online, and it seems to be a common problem. They said there was something wrong with the networking chip. I cannot even find a place that I can get it repaired.

Apparently, Google is not interested in their customers or quality.
