We have no hot water option on the Nest thermostat or the Nest App. We just moved into our new house (uses a heat pump and has a hot water tank) and the hot water option was on the Nest thermostat. I have to restore the Nest to factory settings so that I could connect it with my App but now the hot water option has vanished.
I have tried to turn it on via Equipment, but don't get the option there. I have heard there should be an option in Equipment -> Pro Setup but I can't get to pro setup.
Is there any other trouble shooting I can do? As I say, its a Nest issue and not a wiring issue as it was connected when we moved in prior to the reset.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You do get the option there.
Do the same procedure, but make sure you set on/off correctly
Search on the forum as I have mentioned this many times.

Thanks, yes I’ve seen other posts on the forum and your responses. The problem is I don’t see any options. I go into thermostat > equipment and then only see the system details.
Should I be looking in another place?

You have found it
You should see 'System Boiler'' NOT system details - obviously click on that - then follow the instructions
You could search on here

I have searched on here but it always comes up that there is an option in equipment, whereas I don’t have that option.
my journey here is, go to ‘Hallway’ which is my thermostat. Click settings in top right.
Scroll down to equipment, and only see system details in there. Nothing about a system boiler?
Is there something wrong with my set-up?
Thanks.

I assume you HAVE done this on the Display and NOT the App???
Will never work looking in the app.
The app is just a helpfull tool when out and about, the display does all the work, as it's the controller!

Thanks for your support. I changed the system from heatpump to boiler and it appears to be working even though I have a heat pump.
Thanks again for your support!
