Not cooling

No matter how cool we set the thermostat it isn’t cooling our home.  We can have it set to 50 and it’s currently 83 in my house.  We got an alert a week ago or so.  Not sure how to troubleshoot or fix.  I’ve swapped batteries, shut off and turned on.  Nothing is working.

Is the air compressor starting outside and are you certain it’s functioning properly?  It’s most likely a problem with your capacitor, a bad switch or compressor, not the thermostat.  The capacitors go most often.  If all of those things are running, it might be low on coolant if the air just isn’t getting cold enough.
