I factory rest my Google nest and try to add it to Google home app. It scans qr code and then nothing happens - just returns to home screen.
Please advise.

What Google Nest device? Nest Wifi? Router or point?
You are using the newest Google Home app, up to date?
Have you tried the Google Home app from a different Android or iOS device?

I think it's Nest Wifi (it connects via Wifi) and the wifi is setup (I bought a home and the device was pre-installed).
The device is factory reset.
I am using the latest Google Home app on iOS (up-to-date).
I have not tried it from a different device.

Sorry, the device is a Google Nest Learning Thermostat (wifi enabled). The naming was confusing me.

My bad. Any advice would be appreciated. I still can't link my Nest Thermostats to my Google Home app.

Having the exact same issue. Was this resolved? This is the third thermostat amd the only one giving me issues.

I ended up solving the problem by downloading the nest app and not using Google home.

jabalsad, glad to hear that you've sorted it out. Just an added information, all our thermostats should be set up using the Nest app except our newest one which is the Nest Thermostat. To know more what type of Nest thermostat you have, please refer to this link: https://bit.ly/3noGw7F
Prod831, what specific Nest thermostat do you have? Is this the first time that you're adding it to your account and WiFi network? Also, are you getting a specific message or a code? Please tell me more so I can check on it further.
