Notifications on the NEST app.. (not the google Home app)

How do I get notifications on the OLD nest app (not google) home?

I have the old nest app and want to be notified at different events of my choice, such as:

System has been running for more hours that the alert threshold.

Target Temperature hasn't been reached for X hours. 

The only notification I see in the notifications menu on the nest app is for replacing filters.

I have had the AC running for 5 days non stop in a home. The outside temperature is 90 degrees F. The home is set to 72F, but the inside temperature has not come down from 84 although the unit has been running 24/7 for 5 days I didn't get a notification that something is wrong and I don't see a place to create a notification.
