Will this system be able to connect with a google nest thermostat? The model name is called Genvex 315 VP -C with the type number: 9907.7110.1321 and is very old. I am from Denmark/Europe, and would really like to switch this analog controller board out with a google nest thermostat, but don’t know if this will even be possible. The Genvex system itself has both heating and cooling.

@JeverSebelin , the Genvex thermostats used out in most of Europe operate with 220 V control power. As a result, they’re not compatible with Nest thermostats.

Hello CoolingWizard,
Thanks for a good explanatory answer here. Do you know if there are other alternatives regarding switching out this old controller?

But would this controller which is directly connected to the system through this wire be too much? This is not the same type of wire as if I were to hang up a lamp

@JeverSebelin you need to check with a specialist who has Google nest certification in your country to determine that. All I know is the current nest thermostats can only handle 24 V AC power and your system is operating on 220 V of AC power.
