I have installed 4 Nest Thermostats about 3 months ago. I had no idea I needed a C-Wire at the time.  The thermostats seemed to work fine w/o the C-wire though I was getting the N260 error code immediately. Still running fine after 3 months.  Decided to purchase the Power Connectors and have them installed as Google makes it sound easy enough.  However, the authorized On Tech service provider they contract with doesn't seem like they want to support now. They took off "install Power Connector" as a standalone option.  They are saying the Power Connector may or may not work, and you will need a C-wire anyways. Regardless now, they also want to charge a $99.95 Diagnostic fee first BEFORE making deciding to install the Power Connector or not, and won't reimburse you for that even if you pay to have the Power Connector installed (at their recommendation, or a new C-wire installed.  How can there be so much disconnect/lack of clarity around how to do this?  With all the resources that Google has, wouldn't it be easy for them to know what the solution is definitively and work with professional installers to know what is required???
