Only two wires

Old system only had a white n red wire. Where should I connect them?

A few questions — what specific Nest thermostat do you have? What type of HVAC system are you setting up the thermostat on? Also, could you provide a photo of your original thermostat wires showing the labels of it's terminal?

Hi Melba, sorry for the delayed response as I was ill. Now much better. 

I have purchased a GoogleNest Thermostat. I'm not sure what HVAC system I have. I will get a photo for you. Thanks so much for your help!
