In OpenTherm operating mode can the Nest 3Gen display information fed back from the boiler, (e.g. return water temperature, or error information)?
This is a useful capability which I know some other OT controllers offer (though it may be hidden and a specific key sequence needed for it to be displayed).

The Nest Learning thermostat cannot display errors from the boiler, it cannot display the temperature of the return water or show boiler errors. If you have an OpenTherm hot water tank, you can control the temperature of the water. About that, you can find more details here: https://goo.gle/3wRkoJR

Be interested to know this also. Just had a Viessman 100 combi installed in opentherm and while controls for CH and DHW work, the feedback for hot water temp does not

I've provided you with the article that contains all the information you need to know about the OpenTherm function. Did you get a chance to check on it?

I have read it through several times, including before you provided that link! It does not answer my question, and therefore does not provide me with all the information I need to know about the OpenTherm function!

thankyou!
Perhaps you might suggest this capability as a useful upgrade to the Nest Technical Support/Software Development team?
