The outside temperature where I’m at is 64 degrees and the best thermostat says it’s 51 degrees. I’m not sure why and i can’t figure out how to correct it. I’ve enabled location services on my phone it’s still wrong.
I've used this nest thermostat for 6 months now. Seems to me it is regulating my energy. instead of me controlling when it comes on and off, it says it's 71 degrees outside, when it's 49. I wake up freezing. The software sucks. I'm about to replace it with a different brand that's not related to Google or Amazon

I've been trying to figure this out for months, my location and data are correct. The nest displays some far off outside weather information, which is wrong and useless. I wish we could see the exact location the weather was being read from.
Seeing these comments about the Nest reporting inaccurately, and the lack of support tells me not to purchase it like I was considering. I was actually looking here as my Google home had a 10 degree difference from my local news channel this morning.
Tbh the nest support team is great Google support team sucks. The nest thermostat is awesome all the other functionality works great. The temp in my house is accurate and maintained what i set it as it’s the app where the error occurs and apparently they don’t have a fix action yet.
