I have a the 2020 Nest thermostat connected to a drolet pellet stove using this diagram and wiring set up
now. My issue is when I set the thermostat to call for heat the pellet stove will not start. However if I unplug the stove and plug it back in it will start then and will stop when I turn the thermostat down and stop calling for heat. So my question is there something I am over looking with the wiring or is there a wiring change I can make to get this to work correctly?

Hello Johnhambly,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
Systems that use coal, wood chips, pellets, anthracite, or other biomass materials are typically incompatible with Nest thermostats. I’d suggest contacting a Nest Pro to check the wiring and the actual power output of the transformer.
In the US, you can contact our installation partner, OnTech. For all other countries, you can book an appointment with a Nest Pro. You can check out this handy guide for more information about Google Nest professional installation services.
Best,
