Potential Battery Issue

RhondaH

Hello. I have had the Nest learning thermostat 3rd generation for 5 years. Today I came home and it says wiring issue. Nothing has changed in the house, could it be a battery issue and need to change? If so where do I get a battery from? And what can I do in the meantime?

thanks

Hello RhondaH,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're having on your Nest Thermostat about the power. Let's see what's going on.

A few questions: how's your Nest Thermostat, are you still getting the same wiring report? What's the message code you're getting? Also, what steps have you tried so far?

If your Nest Thermostat display won't turn on, charge it via micro USB cable for an hour.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mark
