Power ON on its own

We are now reaching colder temperatures in Arizona so I have turned my nest thermostat off.  However, I am discovering that my AC unit is turning on throughout the day and in the middle of the night on its own, daily, along with random temperature changes .  I keep having to turn it off each time.  Can someone assist?  Please and thank you!

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear that your AC turns on unexpectedly at night. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, follow these: 

• Go to Settings then look for Eco and select it.
• Turn off both the Eco Temperature.
• Click Done.
• Look for Nest Sense and select it.
• Select and tap Auto Schedule. 
• Select "No" and "Off" then press the ring to select it.
• Click Done.
• Look for Reset and select it.
• Select and tap Schedule.
• Select Confirm Reset or Clear.
• Turn the ring to reset schedule.
• Click OK.

For Nest Thermostat 2020: 

• Clear weekly schedule. 
  • On the home screen, touch and hold your device's tile.
  • Tap Settings > Schedules > Clear weekly schedule.
• Adjust temperature preset on the thermostat (skip if not needed). 
  • Back to Settings > Temperature Preferences > Temperature Preset.
• Restart the thermostat.
  • Go to Settings and select Restart > Restart > Yes.
