Power connector with 2 thermostats installation? is the zone controller the same as the zone dumper?

Hi,

Based on the question, you probably guessed that I am a noob.

I was trying to figure out how to install the power connector with 2 nest thermostats (Heat/Cool). The thermostats work but they keep complaining about lack of power.

Based on the instructions, I would need to install it connected to the "zone controller" (implying that I only need one power connector). I have seen some answers here that say that one needs 2 power connectors (one for each thermostat).

EDIT: I keep reading and my understanding is that I need 2 power connectors (I have them) one per thermostat/zone (GOOGLE COULD CLARIFY THAT EASILY IN THE INSTRUCTIONS!) and I need to connect them to the "zone controller". I still don't know what the zone controller is.
I am now including a blueprint of the board in the furnace.

Is the zone controller the same as the zone dumper? or the "zone controller" is just part of the control panel?

Here I am  attaching a pic of the control panel:

and the Honeywell zone dumper:

Hi Flope,

No worries, we all start somewhere! Typically, the zone controller is part of the control panel located on an inside wall, most likely near your heating and air conditioning equipment.

For constant power, you need two Nest power connectors (one for each thermostat). You can install the power connector yourself or call a pro. For a brief video of the installation process, go to How to install the Nest Power Connector.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Cheers,

Renz

Thanks for the reply.

The images of the board  I am showing in the OP are the zone controller. Basically, NCM-300 is the zone controller (as the name in the image pretty much indicates "Ultra Zone Control system", duh!) .I connected them at the Zone 1 and Zone 2 T'stat on the right side. It worked

I was confused by the instructions about the mention of a "board" and a "zone controller".

But, pretty simply, Google instructions could be more clear about how many power connectors one would need.
