Power witched off to A/C / Furnace Nest did not send email notice

A contractor accidentally flipped the switched that turns off my A/C / Furnace.

Why did I not receive an email or why was there no message in the nest app?

The Nest thermostat said offline in my Google Home app and Nest app. But I did not receive any kind of notice.
