I've tried moving the red wire to rc and rh but both give the no power message. On the 3rd photo is the recommended wire setup which I have tried but kept getting a delayed message. Tried adjusting it and now I keep getting a no power error of E73 or E74.

Hey there Benny Rodriguez 9700,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your thermostat wiring. I can definitely understand the confusion when it comes to thermostat issues as it can be very odd to figure out sometimes, but I'm happy to look into this for you.

First off, I would suggest using the Compatibility Checker to see if your system is compatible. Then, if it is, I would suggest contacting a pro to come out to help you with this since you've tried moving the power wire to both RC and RH and nothing seems to be working for you.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Not just the battery.  Can be the pan full of water activating the float switch turning off the nest and thus the ac.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for being here in the Google Nest Community.

What CUKahle has mentioned is right, there are times that the only cause is a clogged drip pans or it's already full of water. You could check that out and make sure that filters are also clean.

Best regards,

Ryan
