Removed Thermostat, added thermostat, temp

So, this is kind of a lengthy one, but I want to be as detailed as possible. I'll do my best to make it simple at the same time. 

I got an "HVAC" warning email today letting me know something may be up with my A/C. When I saw the email, my former address (I moved last Sept) was listed as the Thermostat location. 

I immediately thought, for some reason, that my old thermostat had found its way back onto my home/nest apps (weirder things have happened). So, Like an idiot, I removed the thermostat. I quickly realized it was my current thermostat, but that it was named incorrectly. 

I quickly added it right back to my nest app, no issues. But, my two temperature sensors were no longer attached to the thermostat. I began to try and add them back through the app, but keep getting a "something went wrong" message. No matter how close I am to the thermostat, if my WIFI has been reset, if the batteries have been pulled from the sensors, they just aren't working. 

I talked with Google support, and while the person was very kind, was absolutely and utterly useless. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I hope this makes sense.

Sorry for the confusing situation with your app and Nest thermostat setup. Also, sorry that you weren't able to find the hep you needed through support. I would be happy to help you out more on this. Do you happen to have the case ID that was provided to you by support when you contacted them? If you can share that here, it will help me look deeper into your situation.
