Hi,
When we moved into our house 2 years ago it had had the Learning Thermostat 3rd gen installed without a plate cover. It worked perfectly until my husband unmounted it to install the cover and even when he took a photo of the wiring before that when we tried to connect the wires again it would not come on. We called an electrician and after he blew a fuse two times he told us the problem was with the thermostat and we needed a new one.
The power company where we live (AZ) happened to be offering a free Nest Thermostat but it is not a learning one but the Smart Thermostat for Home, model G4CVZ. We ordered one but now I'm not sure it would work because we have 7 wires and this one has only 6 connections.
Could somebody help please?

Do you have a photo of the 7 wires? I believe you would needs a Nest thermostat where you can connect all your 7 wires, which is the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Hi Lacoet,
I’m sorry for the delay in responding, and I thank you for taking the time to contact us. Please send us a clear photo of your old Nest Learning Thermostat wiring and how you wired it again after you unmounted it to install the cover.
I'll look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Zoe
