Rheem thermostat compatibility

CuulCanuk

My existing thermostat has wires connected to R, C, E1 and E2. I believe it is proprietary. The furnace is a rheem.

Hi CuulCanuk,

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest with our Nest Thermostats.

It is most likely that your current thermostat is a proprietary system which have to be rewired by a pro installer to be compatible with our Nest Thermostats. However, do you know if what both the E1 and E2 wires control? In most cases an E wire is for emergancy heat.

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

Zoe
