How do I unenroll? I have an elderly person in the house in Arizona, and it has become a medical issue. Why is this so difficult? Last summer, I tried as well, had a chat with someone from Google, and they said they would escalate it, but I have heard nothing.

It turns out, I missed an email from them for a contact call to confirm my choice. I started the process through the nest support chat. They should be able to respond and make it be cancelled.

@LM88 , that Thermostat was provided by the power company was it not? It is the power companies that required this. This allows them to claim that a xx percentage of their customers are conserving energy. When you not saving electricity during energy rush hour they remind you.
The easiest way to “unsubscribe” from the Rush Hour project is ditch the Nest Thermostat and go out and buy a standard Google Nest Thermostat.

No, I bought it and enrolled with the power company after. I would rather not have to purchase two more thermostats.

My google nest came with house.
Power company says it’s not them. I opened my app to change temp it asked me something quickly I said yes. Thinking it was to continue and it said “your signed up” now says peak on it and moves throughout day to higher temp. I can override and change temp but does it again next day. So it’s not power company it’s me google best that came with house that was built in 2020. Please help. I can’t shut this off permanent. Should not be this hard
