Seasonal Savings

I have seen several strings with info on how to turn off Seasonal Savings, and I have followed the steps but I continue to get a request every year on each of my four thermostats to opt in.  I would like to never again see these so how do I PERMANENTLY disconnect from Seasonal Savings?

Hi Zoe,

Thank you for your response.  Unfortunately I had already read through the guide you referenced and it does not address my issue.  I am looking for a way to completely eliminate any connection between my Nest thermostats and the Seasonal Savings program.  This guide only talks about ending or declining to participate in a current program but not how to be removed from any future requests to participate in any future programs.  That is what I am looking for.  I would appreciate your help with that.  Thank you....

Hi there,

Thanks for the follow-up information. The Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat both offer the Auto-Schedule feature, using their capacity to understand your preferences to define the perfect schedule. Going into Settings and switching off Auto-Schedule should stop other automatic changes like Seasonal Savings completely.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Zoe

Thank you very much for this information.  I will make the change you suggest in Settings and see what happens the next time a Seasonal Savings offer is scheduled to appear.

Your suggestions do not solve the problem. Auto-schedule is OFF and has been OFF all along. I have disabled just about every automated process I can find. When the seasonal savings announcement appears, I click "no thanks" but in a few months it pops up again. I don't have any other app or arrangement with the power company to monitor or control my HVAC system.

Here's the thing. We are retired. We don't have a work schedule, or any other schedule for that matter. I want to set the schedule myself and be able to control it remotely. That's it. I now believe it was a mistake to buy this product, but I have it and now I just want to disable this seasonal savings function. Permanently. You'd think a company the size of Google could tell us how to do that.
