Sensi thermostat

My thermostat can be set through Google home, but it won't lock in the temp. I set it, then when I come back to it, it takes the old setting. Not what I want. 

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

To clarify, could you please tell us what type of Nest Thermostat you have? Also, how do you control it — by the Google Home app or by the Google Nest Speakers and Displays?
