Setting a password

I just received my thermostat, I am not sure what generation it is! I found the settings on the unit, but there is not a lock option.  I have tried through the Nest app and google home. Any help!!

Once you've determined which one you have, take a look here for the steps on how to lock or unlock your Nest thermostat.

Yes, Instil can’t figure out how to set password. When i go into settings, there is nothing about setting password.
