Sharing the control of neat thermostat

Hello all, I have my nest thermostat connected but I’m trying to add my wife to the home platform where she has control of the device as well.. the error message that I keep receiving is “can’t share at this time”

 

am I doing something wrong? Need details on how to connect my wife to the google home to operate the thermostat

Your wife will need a Google Account.  It does not necessarily need to use GMail for email but there are some limitations for the types of Google Accounts that will work.

In the Google Home app,  Settings > Household > Invite person.  Enter her email address associated with the Google Account.

See the Share a home and devices in the Google Home app page for detailed information, limitations, how to, etc.

Maybe one of those limitations applies to her account?
